Last weekend we went for a lovely walk along the canal at Saville Town Wharfe in Dewsbury and while we were there we saw a tent where the conservation volunteers were letting people make bat boxes and bird houses, we chose to make a bat box. Oliver did most of the hammering of nails and really enjoyed it. Then later in the week we put the bat box up on the side of our house, no bats have moved in yet but it can take a while.
I wanted to capture some better footage of the bats, So I thought I'd try the high speed photo mode on my GX-1, I think it takes shots at 40 shots per second, the ISO was set to 12800 and the shutter speed was 1/640th. Im quite pleased with my first attempt.
Set out to film the bats today, I used my Panasonic Lumix GX-1 to film them, I filmed for about 10 mins and got some good fly past footage, Hope you find it interesting too.
