Got the settings right on the camera this time and filmed the hedgehogs and a cat looking at them we also caught the courtship between two hedgehogs. Very pleased with the footage, We have put the camera out again in the hope that we get some love action between the hedgehogs.
Louise found an egg floating in our pond today, She took it out and it is now in our airing cupboard keeping warm, We are going to try and hatch it out if we can.
She thinks it's a Collared Dove's egg.
Not sure where it came from because there doesn't seem to be a nest up in the tree above our pond.
Yes more Song Thrush footage. It's funny how you don't see certain birds in your garden until one turns up and then they never leave. The Song Thrush visits throughout the day.
The time stamped on this clip is wrong, I tried setting the camera to film the Hedgehogs but earlier in the day I took the batteries out to charge and the time must have set wrong somehow. Anyway we ended up with some good video of the Song Thrush.
Just thought I would put up some stills of the Song Thrush taken with our Ltl Acorn 6210MC trail camera.
The Hedgehogs have finally started visiting our garden, We have had the trail camera out foe over a week and not had any luck capturing any video of them, so I decided to set the camera to take still images every few seconds and sure enough we got photos of the hedgehogs, First off the was one then a second appeared.
I need to find out if Hedgehogs are territorial because at one point one of the Hedgehogs charge and push the other out of the way.
For the first time ever we have had a visit from a Song Thrush and we captured it on our trail camera.
As I set off for work around 5:00am I paused for a moment to listen to the dawn chorus.
