Yesterday there where lots of bugs flying around our flower bed so I decided to get the camera out and try to film them instead of just photographing them. When shooting macro the depth of field gets narrower so you have to get your focus on one point and hope the insects land there, Well that's what I did anyway. I filmed this clip on my Lumix GX-1 with the 14-42 power zoom lens and attached a +10 macro lens filter to the end of the lens. I do need to experiment with this as shooting macro videos is new to me, I am quite pleased with a couple of the shots in this clip. Hope you find it interesting.
Adrian We've had another visit to our butterfly feeding station another Speckled Wood, Today was sunny and warm and our flower beds where very active with hoverflies and I spotted a green flat bug that is a first sighting in our garden and I have still to identify it.
Adrian Well it's a bit disappointing, I didn't see much this year appart from the bug in the first picture of my last post the usual snails & slugs and a small black hover fly. The photos I took aren't that good but I will still put them up later.
The photos taken on the 13th are now below. |
